Hello again, everybody..it’s so good to be back! Sorry for the wait you’ve all had, and I will try to do better about posting, but I’m not promising anything! 😛 I have been busy LITERALLY all the time (if you didn’t get that Odyssey reference, I’m sorry. 😉 )
When I was younger, I used to listen Point of Grace all the time. I loved their song “A Thousand Little Things”. I was thinking about the song a little while ago.
Here’s a thousand little things
A thousand little things
I’m hearing I love you
In a thousand little things
Charity called me outside and was super excited to show me the “cool” rocks she had collected today. As she was showing them to me, she explained why each one was so special, and it made me remember my days as a little kid. Little kids have such an innocence and they pay so much attention to the littlest things. The Bible even says that unless we become like little children, we won’t enter into the Kingdom of God (Matthew 18:3).
I think it’s time to start enjoying the little things in life. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in everything that’s going on around us (especially when there’s drama involved) and we forget how to enjoy the small things. Things like the sunrise or sunset, things like listening to the breeze rustle through the trees (or bamboo 😉 ). There are so many things that we miss out on, all because we’re running around like crazy all the time…and believe me, I am preaching to myself here. 😉
I believe this will go hand in hand with the “50 Things That Make Me Happy” blog post. (I am working on it, Maddi! 🙂 )
Instead of running around, take a moment to sit still and enjoy nature. Enjoy the little things in life. Take a minute to watch the sunset, and watch a bird or butterfly. I find these calm moment draw me closer to God, as I stand in awe of the Creator of the little things in life. ❤
So my encouragement or thought for today is to take note of those little things! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I’ll go look for some rocks of my own! 😉
