Peanut Butter and Jelly

Good morning, everyone!

Today, I’d like to blog real quick in celebration of me and Maddi’s 6 month Friendiversary! To understand the name of my post, you’ll have to read hers as well.

I can’t believe it’s already been 6 months, but at the same time I find it hard to believe that it’s only been 6 months.

Me and Maddi met online through our blogs, and then we met in person at Heritage last year. Our encounter at Heritage was brief and I didn’t even get a chance to see her again, or to get her contact information. I was super disappointed about that!

Thankfully, through Lauren, I was able to start texting her. On our first conversation, we ended up talking about some pretty deep stuff, and it blew me away. There aren’t too many young people nowadays that like talking deep, but I love talking deep.

I remember telling her “this is super weird! This is the second conversation we’ve had in our lives and we’re talking about this kind of stuff.” I told my mom I felt something just clicked between us.

We have had many a deep conversation, and believe it or not we’ve only FaceTimed 2-3 times! I remember the first time we FaceTimed. I thought it would be pretty awkward, but within minutes we were talking about mutual PK experiences. We know the PK language and we have had some of the same experiences.

Through us, Kate (her little sister) and Charity (my little sister) have become friends! I don’t think they’ve gotten over the (little bit) awkward stage. 🤣🤣

Many a time, we’ve shared prayer requests with each other, and have earnestly prayed and rejoiced when God answered our prayers.

She’s been super close to me during a situation I’ve been facing recently. I can count on her and Lauren to make me laugh when I need a break, but she and Lauren also allow me to cry if I need to.

Our friendship is definitely something God orchestrated, and I’ll forever be grateful. God knows just what we need, and when we need it. It’ll forever be a testimony as to how we knew each other, and how God gave us the opportunity to draw closer to each other.

Maddi actually gave that to me! 😉👆🏼

We go together like peanut butter and jelly.

I just wanted to take a minute and thank God for the great friends He’s given me. We’ve made up some names for each other, such as aquatinted Parker. (You can read some about it here.) Mine is booger-eyed Timothy. 🤣 One day, maybe I’ll do a blog post about how we came up with those names.

I just wanted to take a minute, though, to say I love you, Maddi, and here’s to many more years of friendship!

To everybody else, I’m sorry that I haven’t had a chance to blog, there’s been a lot going on. We are currently in the middle of Bible school. Also, please keep our family in your prayers. There is a well that is stopped up, and we’re working to see the well spring up, but that doesn’t happen without a fight. We know that God is on our side! Just please lift us up in your prayers! Thanks you, and I will try to blog soon!
