Work in Progress!

One of the things that helps keep one’s mind off of the crisis going on around us is working. We have been working very hard the last couple of days to finish a decorating project we’ve wanted to do for a while. I don’t have pictures of the finished project, cause we still lack a little bit of work. It should be before the end of the week, and I will get a blog post out about the final look. I will share a few pictures of us working, though!

We have been working very hard, and hopefully, within the next couple of days, I will post pictures of the final results! I am excited, and I feel like this project has helped us all take our minds off of the crazy things going on around us.

During the time we were working and painting, my good friend Tavia called me, and while I was trying to talk to her, (and figure out how to potty train the two-year-old that is living with us) got a couple of pictures of Francis and Cristel who were having a spontaneous concert in their bedroom! They were singing into the ends of their curtain rods, and I couldn’t stop laughing at how silly they looked; I think we all needed a laugh, and their concert certainly provided one! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

My good friend, Tavia, who FaceTimed me in the middle of the chaos. Even though we didn’t really get a chance to talk, I think she got a few laughs watching me run around like crazy! There is a story behind this picture…πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I would also like to share a few pics from our church service on Sunday morning. As I have mentioned in every blog post since then I am so thankful for what God did; He is so very good to us!

We have been super busy recently, and I am thankful that we have things to do to help us keep our minds of things elsewhere!

Also, I want to give a shoutout to Entni Licona (my Honduran big brother). Some of you know him, and he is very close to our family! I can think back to many times when we’ve experienced crazy things, and I can’t wait to see what God has for him this year! (hopefully a wife) πŸ€πŸ˜œπŸ˜‚ Here are a few pictures of him, including the ones we took today when he came over and we made him a cake. It was a mug cake, mind you, we must be frugal in this time of crisis! πŸ˜‚ We had to improvise and use the birthday candles we had to make 27 (because he isΒ that old)! πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ˜‚

Feliz Cumpleaños, Entni! Dios te bendiga, y te muestre cosas grandes este año! 🀭

It was also my friend Brenda’s birthday today! Brenda is Cristel’s sister, for those of you who don’t know her. 😊 We hoped we might be able to make it over to her house to take her a mug cake or some cookies, but we aren’t able to be out on the roads. The police are patrolling and decommissioning cars, taking away licenses (for 6 months), and give a L. 600 fine! If I could’ve I still would’ve gone, but it was a little too far away. Sorry, Sirey! I owe you a cake or cookie next time we see each other!

Espero que tuviste un buen dia. Te amo mucho, amiga! Feliz CumpleaΓ±os! πŸŽ‰πŸ‘πŸ½β€

We also have a new addition to the house as of this morning! Now, before you get too frightened, here she is! Meet Princess Fran!

That’s right, you guys! In addition to the 11 people in our house, we now have a pet turtle! πŸ˜‚ (We’re not even sure if it’s a she!) I was driving the car to go drop Francis at Miss Lori’s house earlier, and she told me to stop the car because she saw a baby turtle and wanted me to take it to Charity. Oh my! Charity and Alison named the turtle Princess Fran, and I’m not sure why they named it princess, but they added Fran to it in honor of Francis who “rescued” it. I’m not sure if the turtle thought it was rescue or torture! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

We have certainly had plenty of things to keep us busy! Continue to keep our family and church (and country, really) in your prayers. Our country has 30 cases as of this afternoon, and the government has said that if we get to 32 the system will be overwhelmed. I know, I know, they didn’t plan very well! The blessing is that of those who have it, only 4 (I believe) have respiratory problems, and they are the ones who need ventilators. The others are being taken care of at their homes, so the system isn’t overwhelmed yet. We thank God for that! Do continue to pray for us, however. We are praying that the church will be a bright light that shines in this dark hour, and we are trusting God that we are going to see miracles of healing, provision, and anything else that is needed!

Also, I would like to give a shoutout to my cute writing buddy! She has been with me all the time I’ve been writing this until she went up to get in bed! Iris is too cute! I will share a couple cute pictures in her honor! 😊❣

As always, thanks for reading! Expect to hear from me within the next few days…I mean, what else am I going to do? It’s not like I have errands to run! 😁

God Bless,

Sarah Schreckhise
